Believe it or not, there are close to three hundred varieties of the iris plant. These two springtime perennial beauties are part of the bearded iris grouping. I found this particular iris growing in a friend’s garden and was enamored with the delicate coloring and regal standing.
When I renewed my wedding vows, I carried irises, for they are the official flower for twenty-fifth anniversaries.
