One of the attractions we make sure to see at our local county fair is the horse pulling competition. We watch this magnificent draft horse pair being led up to the center ring. While backing up to get hooked to the sled, their feet start dancing in unison, marching faster and faster as they get closer to the hitch. Then they hear it, the clang of metal hitting metal, they are off! Pulling with all their might, making the burden of their load seem effortless.
